YORK, PA - One third of the way into the 2019 season Fauci Racing welcomes the 4th and final driver for the season. Troy Pennington of Auckland, New Zealand makes the 8,661 mile trip to run Pennsylvania's hottest 600cc sprint car circuit for the month of July. The 16 year old midget racer will be piloting the 95m for a predicted 9 shows. Competing in a 600cc sprint car for the 1st time, Troy hopes to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible with the available resources on his month long trip.
Though racing in different countries, the racing path isn't too far off of that of stateside competitors and new acquired teammates. Pennington's passion for racing came influenced by his father who raced dirt cars nationally and gave Troy the curiosity and passion for racing.
Initially starting out in 1/4 midgets, he spent 5 years in the class collecting several notable accomplishments. The New Zealand 1/4 midgets are not similar to that of american 1/4 midgets though, comparable more to an american TQ. Pennington was awarded Sportsman of the Year for the 2017-2018 season, as well as capturing the 2017-2018 1/4 midget championship. He also captured 1/4 midgets biggest race title winning the Les Behere race in 2016. Moving into New Zealand TQ's, Troy's 5th time competing he received his 1st podium finish. Most recently, he has also jumped in a midget and sprint car.
Now transitioning into the 600cc sprint car this summer he hopes to take as much as possible back to NZ and then to his ultimate goal of racing full time.

"My goals for the US is to see exactly what I have talent wise and try and battle for podiums. I am excited to be with MFDD because I am given the resources and people to help me achieve this and reach my ultimate goal of racing full time stateside. I will be taking on anything Mike says to better me as a driver to make my next NZ season a winning one." Troy states.
Troy is no stranger to the pressure of competition but understands the level of talent he will be up against with for his short season in, but anticipates that to challenge him in a positive direction.
Michael Fauci along with the entire Fauci Racing team is excited to gain another member of the team under Mike Fauci Driver Development. Fulfilling the fleet of 5 cars with 4 drivers, the 2019 season continues to grow.

Troy will be hitting the major 600cc sprint car tracks for his 4 week stay. Action Track USA, Lanco Speedway, Linda's Speedway, Greenwood Valley are among the few. Weather dependent, schedule could be subject to change.
